That was quite a weekend.  Helped two friends move.  Watched my wife nearly get poisoned by an undercooked Hot Wing.  Said goodbye to my friends kids, who I've watched grow up, because they are moving to Idaho.  Had my middle kid tell me he loved me more than cheese.  Got sick.  Got a bit better.

I came to work today for a break.

I don't get to do it enough, but I love to sleep.  When I got home yesterday afternoon to the Oven that is my house in hot weather, I went upstairs laid directly across the bed in the fan air current and promptly fell asleep for 4.5 hours.  Which pretty much made me unable to sleep last night (which would explain why I didn't get to sleep until 3:00 this morning).

But my little cat nap yesterday made me remember how much I loved to sleep as a teenager, I'd go to bed @ 1am and sleep till 2 the next afternoon.  I never felt over rested, and I could always go back to sleep @ 9:00 the following night if I wanted to.

So, getting older has seemingly provided me with two things 1.  An inability to get hungover and 2. A need for sleep only to rest, not as a hobby.

I like the first one, but I want my hobby back.  Of course, I have 3 reasons (aged 13, 7 and 22 months) why I can never sleep as a hobby again, but I still want it.

I saw Clerks II on Friday and may I say "Well Done Sir" to Mr. Kevin Smith.  I haven't laughed that hard or that much at a movie in years.  The movie itself has rocketed its way to the top of my favorite Kevin Smith movies (and yes, I even liked Jersey Girl so bite me) and will be one I go back and catch again before it's out of theatres.  I recommend anyone who has ever liked a Kevin Smith movie or anyone who like gross humor with a little bit of intelligence and soul to go see this movie.
